The Facebook profile of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Tokyo 🇧🇬🇯🇵 informs that a meeting was held at the diplomatic mission with three Bulgarian volleyball representatives 🏐, who with their hard work, talent, and successes glorify Bulgaria in Japan.
Ambassador Marieta Arabadzhieva welcomed volleyball players Mira Todorova – a player for the Japanese club Victorina Himeji, and Nasya Dimitrova – part of Gunma Greenwings, as well as Kristian Mihaylov – coach of the Voreas Hokkaido men's team.
Historic silver for Voreas Hokkaido at the end of December
The meeting comes after a significant sporting success for the Bulgarian coach, after his team Voreas Hokkaido won a historic silver medal 🥈 at the Emperor's Cup tournament 🏆 at the end of December – the first such achievement in the club's history.
In the final, Voreas Hokkaido's team lost to Wolfdogs Nagoya 0:3 (25:23, 25:22, 25:23), but reaching the battle for the trophy itself remains a serious recognition for the team and the work of the staff.
Two Bulgarian women in elite Japanese volleyball
Mira Todorova and Nasya Dimitrova continue to be among the faces of Bulgaria in women's volleyball in Japan – in clubs with different ambitions and environments, but with a common goal: stable performance and contribution to the development of their teams.
Support from Bulgaria – respect for professionalism
During the meeting, Ambassador Arabadzhieva congratulated the guests on their achievements and wished them health, more professional victories, and inspiration to continue representing Bulgaria 🇧🇬 with dignity.
The Embassy also expressed its support and gratitude ❤️ to all Bulgarian athletes and coaches who, with dedication and professionalism, uphold Bulgaria's name in Japan and on the international stage.
