Krasi Georgiev MVP for Steaua, Branimir Grozdanov contributed to Dinamo

Bulgarian volleyball players Krasimir Georgiev and Branimir Grozdanov left a distinct mark in the last two matches, albeit in different ways. Steaua's middle blocker was undisputed and led his team to a routine victory, while Dinamo's outside hitter played a key role right from the start of the tough five-set win in Zalau.

Georgiev – MVP and complete dominance in the middle

CSKM Bucharest – Steaua 0:3 (12:25, 12:25, 23:25)

Leader Steaua gave no chances to last-placed CSKM Bucharest. The first two sets were decided quickly, and even in the third, when the hosts showed resistance, the visitors' class prevailed.

At the core of the success was Krasimir Georgiev, who played his strongest match since the start of the season and was fully deservedly chosen as MVP.

Player Points Plus/minus Aces Blocks Attack efficiency
Krasimir Georgiev (Steaua) 13 +10 2 3 67%

A 67% attack success rate for a middle blocker, combined with 3 point blocks and 2 aces, is a top-level statistic. Georgiev controlled the net in both elements – both in finishing and in disrupting the opponent's attack. The +10 indicator further highlights his influence on the game and fully explains the MVP award.

Dinamo endured in Zalau, Grozdanov decides the first set

SCM Zalau – Dinamo 2:3 (22:25, 15:25, 25:18, 25:19, 10:15)

A high-level match with clear dynamics was played in Zalau. Dinamo took a 2:0 lead in sets, after which the hosts came back into the match and forced a tie-break. There, the visitors showed more composure and won the decisive set.

Branimir Grozdanov made his contribution already in the first set, joining strongly and helping Dinamo take the initiative.

Player Game Points Plus/minus Blocks Attack efficiency
Branimir Grozdanov (Dynamo) 1st 5 +4 1 67%

Although his participation was limited to only the first game, Grozdanov entered extremely focused – 5 points, 67% attack efficiency, and a scoring block. This stable start helped Dynamo gain a psychological advantage and control the match's development in the first two games, which later proved crucial.

The two matches showed different but equally valuable roles. Krasimir Georgiev was a leading figure and a clear leader in a dominant victory, while Branimir Grozdanov precisely executed his task at a key moment in a tough match. These are the details that distinguish mature professionals and add value to the Bulgarian presence in the championship.
