The Bulgarian women's national volleyball team achieved its first victory in this year's edition of the Nations League, after defeating the Republic of Korea with 3:2 sets (25:23, 20:25, 24:26, 25:21, 15:13). Despite the positive outcome of the first match of the second tournament, played in Arlington, USA, Lorenzo Micelli's team is in last place in the competition, having lost all their matches in Antalya.Merelin Nikolova, who was absent during the first week of the tournament, finished with 30 points (2 aces). The interesting thing is thatNikolova will play precisely in South Korea from the new season.Captain Miroslava Paskova finished with 17 points (1 ace, 3 blocks), Borislava Saykova added 13 points (1 ace, 3 blocks). Elena Becheva finished with 12 points (3 blocks, 1 ace). For the opponent, Kang Sohwi contributed 23 points, Lee Dahyeon added 17 points (2 aces, 4 blocks).
The second week of the tournament for our national team continues with a match against the USA team. The match is on June 1 and starts at 04:00 AM Bulgarian time.
