Stefano Lavarini and Nikola Grbić will remain with the Polish national teams for the next Olympic cycle – until the Los Angeles games in 2028.

The recent successful seasons of the Polish national teams convinced the Warsaw Federation to maintain its trust in both coaches for the next Olympic cycle, as reported byivolleymagazine.it.

Stefano Lavarini – the women's national coach, and Nikola Grbić (the men's coach), who brought back into 'fashion' a school that had been missing from the Olympic podium for several years: the girls, who won the bronze medal in Mexico City 1968 (after the one from Tokyo 1964, the first edition of the Olympic tournament), and the men's team, which achieved a golden triumph in Montreal 1976, the only championship medal in the tournament under the 'Five Intertwined Rings' in Polish history.
