In the "Golden-Green" camp, great attention is paid to every detail in the name of their big goal.
Thanks to the partnership between the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV) and the French region of Moselle, the men's national team is completing its preparation for the Olympic Games in France, reportsivolleymagazine.it.
Although an entire ocean separates them, Brazil follows them everywhere: at the initiative of CBV, a Brazilian chef is responsible for including dishes like beans, farofa, and pão de queijo in the local menu that the "Seleção" volleyball players consume there.
"This gathering is an important stage in the final part of 'Seleção's' preparation for the Games. Good training, rest, and above all – the nutritional conditions, are very important factors for an athlete. That's why we hired a professional so that the menu is close to what the athletes are used to: every detail makes a difference in the pursuit of a medal," explains Jorge Bichara, CBV's technical director, present in La Moselle with the team led by the legendary Bernardinho.
"The main request was not to be without beans and farofa, to give energy to everyone. We will also have pão de queijo (cheese bread, editor's note), stew, escondidinho (dried meat and cassava puree), and stroganoff," says Vivi, as Parana's chef Vivian Aguera is known. She has been living in Paris for eight years now.
