Serbia and Russia did not produce a winner in the first friendly match

The Serbian women's national team drew 2:2 with Russia in their first friendly match as part of their preparation for the 2026 European Championship. The Russian team used the match as part of their preparation for upcoming international appearances after their return to the world stage. The control match was held behind closed doors in Belgrade, and after four played games, the two teams could not determine a winner.
The match lasted 99 minutes and ended 2:2 (30:28, 19:25, 25:21, 18:25).
The coach of the Serbian team, Zoran Terzic, gave 14 players a chance to perform. The most effective player for the hosts was Aleksandra Uzelac with 13 points, while Hena Kurtagic and Tijana Boskovic added 12 each.

For Russia, Tatyana Tolok scored the most points – 14, and Marina Markova finished with 12.
The second and official friendly match between the two teams will take place on August 7 in the sports hall in Ub, this time in front of an audience. The match starts at 7:00 PM local time and will be broadcast live on RTS 2 and TV Arena Sport.
