Bulgarian volleyball player Maria Zlatanova will play in the Romanian championship in the 2026/27 season, after being officially presented as a new addition to Corona (Brașov). The 19-year-old player, who plays as an opposite hitter, arrives at the club after two seasons with Levski Sofia.

Before joining Levski, Zlatanova defended the colors of CSKA for four seasons, and despite her young age, she already has serious experience at both club and national level.
In Bulgaria, she is a five-time vice-champion in the Demax League and a bronze medalist from the championship, as well as a five-time finalist in the Bulgarian Cup tournament.
With the national teams of Bulgaria, Zlatanova won two silver medals from the Balkan Championships for girls U17 and U21, as well as three bronze medals at U18, U19, and U21. She also participated in a European Championship with the Bulgarian national team U20.
With the signing of Maria Zlatanova, Corona (Brașov) continues its selection for the new season, relying on one of the most promising young Bulgarian volleyball players. For Zlatanova, this will be her first challenge outside Bulgaria and an opportunity to gain valuable international experience in one of the strong championships in the Balkans.
