Turkey's opposite hitter played a crucial role in her team winning their second title in the tournament, shining precisely in the most important matches of the final phase.
In the quarterfinal against Canada, Vargas scored 27 points and led Turkey to a 3:1 victory. In the semifinal against China, she added another 23 points, and in the final against Brazil, she was unstoppable with 33 points for the 3:1 win (23:25, 25:23, 26:24, 25:21).
