China will be the next participant in the Volleyball Nations League after winning the final of the Challenger Cup tournament, which took place in the Chinese city of Linyi.

The hosts, led by Belgian coach Vital Heynen, recorded a 3:1 victory (25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22). The top scorer for the winners wasWang J.Y.23 points (including 1 block), followed byZhang J.Y.with 23 points (including 2 blocks and 2 aces). For the Belgians, Ferre Reggers was the most effective with 19 points (including 1 ace).
As we already wrote, for the next edition of the Volleyball Nations League, the teams will increase from 16 to 18. One quota was determined in theChallenger Cup,the other will be determined based on the highest-ranked team in the FIVB Volleyball World Ranking.
After the tournament, China climbed 6 places and is now 26th in the World Ranking. Belgium is 16th.
