Novosibirsk will host the Russian Cup Final in 2027

Novosibirsk will host the Men's Russian Cup Final Six tournament in 2027. The news was officially announced by the All-Russian Volleyball Federation, which confirmed that the decisive phase of the competition will take place from January 25 to 31, 2027, at Lokomotiv Arena.
The tournament will bring together the country's six strongest teams to battle for one of the most prestigious trophies in Russian volleyball. The competition coincides with an important anniversary for Novosibirsk Lokomotiv, which will mark 50 years since its founding in the summer of 2027.

According to information published on the official website of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation, this event also holds special historical significance for Novosibirsk. The city last hosted the final tournament for the Russian Cup in 2010, when Lokomotiv won its first such trophy in club history.
Lokomotiv Arena has already established itself as one of the best volleyball venues in Russia. Regularly sold-out stands and the atmosphere during matches are among the reasons why Novosibirsk was granted the right to organize the tournament.
Plamen Konstantinov, head coach of Lokomotiv and former coach of the Bulgarian national team, was particularly pleased with the decision.

"For Lokomotiv, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2027, hosting the Final Six in our city is of particular importance. It's impossible to even describe how long Novosibirsk has waited for a final on its home ground. Our fans have long deserved such a gift. I always say that our stands are the champions of the country – there are none better. Year after year, our fans create an incredible atmosphere, support the team in the most important moments, and truly love volleyball. We are glad that we will share this celebration with them," Konstantinov stated to the official website of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.

How will the participants be determined?

The Federation also announced the qualification scheme for the Final Six.
Three of the spots will be filled by the top three teams in the standings after the first half of the Russian Super League season. Another spot will go to the winner of the Legends Cup, a tournament in memory of the legendary Soviet volleyball player Vladimir Savvin, whose final is scheduled for October 9-11, 2026.
The fifth participant will be determined through a qualification playoff, which will take place on December 24 and 28. It will feature the fourth-placed team from the first half of the Super League season and the winner of the 'Volleyball' TV channel Cup, whose final will be played between October 7 and 9.
The last, sixth spot in the final tournament will be granted through a special invitation from the All-Russian Volleyball Federation.
Given the traditionally high interest in volleyball in Novosibirsk and Lokomotiv's upcoming anniversary, the organizers expect full stands and a true volleyball celebration during the decisive Russian Cup week in January 2027.
