Poland made a full comeback against Ukraine and finished with two wins in the first week of the VNL

Poland finished the tournament in the Chinese city of Linyi with a victory over Ukraine after coming back from 0:2 to 3:2 (19:25, 18:25, 25:22, 25:21, 15:11).
In the first two sets, Nikola Grbić's team played unconvincingly, made many errors, and failed to counter the Ukrainians' stable play. Oleksandr Shlivka and the Polish attack faced serious difficulties, while Dmytro Yanchuk was among the opponent's leaders.
After being 0:2 down, Poland transformed their game. Excellent performances by libero Maksymilian Granechny in defense, strong play by Oleksiy Nasiewicz, and improved blocking helped "Drużyna Polska" win the third and fourth sets and force the match into a tie-break.
In the decisive set, Nasiewicz and Giezgot led the team, while the Ukrainians made a series of service errors. The Poles pulled ahead to 13:9 and closed out the match after a successful block by Bartłomiej Lemański.
The top scorer for Poland was Oleksiy Nasiewicz with 19 points, while Dmytro Yanchuk scored 13 points for Ukraine.
As of now, before the remaining five matches of the tournament's final day are played, Poland and Ukraine currently hold 6th and 7th place respectively in the provisional standings of the Nations League, with both teams having 7 points after four matches played.
