Chaumont began a massive clear-out after a disastrous season in France, which ended with a mere 12th place in the Marmara SpikeLigue. Silvano Prandi's former team released a total of 12 people from the squad and staff, including Bulgarian conditioning coach Stefan Tsvetanov.
The French club, against whom Levski Sofia played in the Champions League during the 2024/2025 season, experienced one of its toughest campaigns in recent years. The poor results led, even at the beginning of the season, to the parting of ways with the legendary Italian specialist Silvano Prandi - a former coach of Bulgaria.
Chaumont officially admitted that the performance was far below the club's standards, but emphasized that in the most difficult moments the team managed to achieve its main goal - to retain its place in the French elite.
Among those leaving are Sergiu Seraphin, Théo Durand, Lilian Le Meur, Twan Wiltenburg, Brest Walsh, Dany Poda, Alexandros Raptis, Alex Saaremaa, Joshua Marti, Rok Bračko and Médéric Henry, as well as the Bulgarian Stefan Tsvetanov.
The management thanked everyone for their professionalism and efforts during "an exceptionally difficult season", marked by injuries, tension, and a constant battle for survival.
