The team, led by Emil Siewiorek, achieved its goal of an immediate return to the elite after relegation last season. Significantly strengthened with experienced players like Grzegorz Pająk, Wojciech Włodarczyk, and Michał Superlak, the team dominated throughout the campaign.
GKS finished the regular season as leader with 24 wins from 30 matches and 72 points, and in the playoffs, they went through KSPS Siedlce, KKS Mickiewicz Kluczbork, and BBTS Bielsko-Biała.
