The Bulgarian volleyball player signed with the Italian team, which was a finalist in the last edition of the Champions League.Milan, June 25, 2024 – The women's team of "Vero Volley" Milan has signed Radostina Marinova for the 2024/2025 season, the official website of the Italian consortium "Vero Volley" announced today –verovolley.com, which also includes the men's team of Monza.
Marinova, born in 1998, part of the Bulgarian national team, began playing volleyball in her homeland at "Kazanlak Volley" – 200 km from her hometown Sofia. After that, she went to the United States for a year, where she studied at university and played for Long Beach State University in California. In 2018, she returned to Bulgaria and for two seasons defended the colors of VC "Beroe" Stara Zagora – in the regional city, near Kazanlak. From 2020 to 2024, Radi Marinova played in France, first at "Evreux Volley" for two seasons (2020/2021 and 2021/2022), then at "Stade Français Paris Saint-Cloud" (2022/2023) and finally at "RC Cannes" (2023/2024). Now she is ready to take another important step in her career and play in the women's Serie A1 for "Vero Volley Milano".
"I am very happy to wear the "Vero Volley" jersey in the upcoming season" – these were Marinova's first words – "I have very good expectations and I believe that the team can aim for important and high goals. This will be my first season in Italy, and I will be playing in one of the best leagues in Europe, which is an additional incentive to always give my 100% when I am given confidence" – concluded the Bulgarian opposite hitter.
