Neftochimik's team overcame Beroe 3:0 (25:22, 26:24, 25:21) to solidify their second place in efbet Super Volley.
The victory did not come easy for the hosts, who started the match with two aces from Rozalin Penchev. A balanced game followed until 7:7, after which the guests managed to pull ahead by three points (9:12) after an attack by Chernokozhev. A timeout followed for the hosts, who managed to equalize with two strong serves from Farina, causing Beroe's first timeout. The parity in the score continued until 20:20, after which Truhchev and Penchev started to play well, and after an attack by Rozalin on the diagonal, the hosts got their first set point. Penchev again closed the set with a successful attack, finishing the part with 7 points, while Farina scored 10. Burgas players scored 4 points from serve against 2 for the guests.
The second set was the most dramatic, starting again with a point-for-point game, and after 8:8, Beroe took the lead again, this time by 4 points (8:13), after a double block against Farina. Serving and receiving errors by the Stara Zagora players "melted" the positive difference. The entry of Spas Bayrev, after a long absence from the game, did not help either. It was evident that he was still not in shape, after an attack into the net and an unsuccessful block attempt. Gradually, the hosts took the initiative, reversing the trend in the score to 21:17. A successful drop shot by Telkiyski, a block, and a good attack by Chernokozhev reduced the difference to one point. Krasi Georgiev returned a point through the center, after which he made a serving error, and after an unsuccessful attack by Truhchev, confirmed by video check, the score showed 23:23. Chernokozhev gave his team their first set point after a single block against Truhchev. Ventsi Ragin and Axel Truhchev reversed the score to 25:24, and Stoyan Dimitrov (a former Beroe player), who came in very well for the hosts, closed the set with an ace (26:24).
The third part again mirrored the previous two, point for point until 12:12, after which Neftochimik gradually began to impose its tempo, and Beroe's errors increased. After a successful attack by Rozalin Penchev for 16:13, Miroslav Zhivkov called a timeout. This did not help much, as the hosts maintained a comfortable lead of 2-3 points, and only individual errors by Truhchev prevented Neftochimik from pulling further ahead in the score. Nevertheless, the hosts were the first to get match point after a serve by Telkiyski went out. Zhelev returned a point, but then made a serving error, and thus victory No. 7 for Neftochimik was a fact.
Velizar Chernokozhev finished the match with the most points - 16 (1 ace, 2 blocks), but Axel Truhchev was named MVP of the match, scoring 12 points, while Penchev added another 15 (2 aces, 2 blocks) for the victory.
