Levski lost their first game, Hebar won it, CSKA crushed Loko Avia

Levski Sofia's team lost their first game in the championship, after allowing the visiting team Hebar to take a 1:0 lead. Their match was from the eighth round of efbet Super Volley 2024/25. Ultimately, the "Blues" took all three points, after a 3:1 victory (15:25, 25:16, 25:20, 25:14).

As seen from the result, the first game was won by Ventsi Simeonov's boys with a large difference, after an uncharacteristically weak performance by the hosts. This was followed by a counter-reaction from the champion, who returned a mirrored game and equalized the score. In the third set, there was intrigue again, after the game was even until 14:14. An offensive by Antov and company followed, building a 5-point lead, maintained until the end, while in the fourth game the "Blues" dominated completely.

For yet another time, the most points for the winners were against Veni Antov's name - 21 (4 aces), followed by Hebar's player Simeon Topuzliev, who scored 20 points (2 aces, 1 block). Julius Firkal, who returned to play after an illness, distinguished himself with 15 points (3 aces). Vladimir Garkov added 13 (3 aces, 1 block). Antov was chosen as the MVP of the match.

With the comeback, coach Nikolay Zhelyazkov's team maintained their perfect record at the top of the temporary standings with 21 points.
In their next match, Zhelyazkov's boys will host French "Chaumont" in the 3rd round of the Champions League. The match is on November 4th at 8 PM in "Levski Sofia" hall.
In the other match, CSKA managed to defeat the tough team of Lokomotiv Avia with 3:1 (25:22, 25:16, 17:25, 25:15). The match went through sharp fluctuations in play, especially in the games after the first. After taking a 2:0 lead, the "Reds" lowered their guard, allowing the guests to build a significant difference and get back into the game by winning the third set. Sasho Popov's boys again picked up the pace, as a result of which there was only one team on the court, that of the hosts. The "Army men" finished with 7 aces, against 4 for Lokomotiv. Strahinja Brzakovic finished with the most points, 18 (2 blocks). Parapunov, who is expecting a transfer to Polish Skra, did not play.
The match was also watched by Niki Penchev, who is recovering from an appendectomy, and his family.
