Encho Keryazov proposed as sports minister, the network exploded: between "success" and "the circus is full"

Encho Angelov Keryazov has been proposed as Minister of Youth and Sports in the "Radev" cabinet, announced the press center of "Progressive Bulgaria".
The candidacy of the world-renowned artist, public figure, and former sports acrobatics competitor provoked strong reactions on social media. Some commentators described him as a "worthy choice" and a person with managerial experience, while others attacked the nomination with ironic comments about the circus and politics.
Keryazov is serving his second term as Deputy Mayor of Yambol Municipality. He is the founder of the "Encho Keryazov" Foundation, which supports talented children, and also the producer of the international show "Night of the Stars".
Before entering public and political life, Keryazov achieved international fame as an equilibrilist and national competitor in sports acrobatics. His awards include the "Silver Clown" from the Monte Carlo festival, the Honorary Mark of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the "Golden Age" award. He graduated from the "Vasil Levski" National Sports Academy and is fluent in Russian and English.
However, the nomination divided public opinion. His supporters highlight his administrative experience in Yambol, his work with the foundation, and his contribution to children and sports. "The person is in the right place," "has experience in administration," "a worthy person," and "did a lot for Yambol" are some of the positive reactions.
Critics question whether a circus artist is the most suitable for a ministerial post. The most frequently repeated ironic line in the comments is related to the word "circus," with many writing that "the circus is officially in politics" or that "the entire government is one big circus".
A separate topic in the reactions is the name of Vladimir Nikolov. Some users recall that the former captain of the national volleyball team was actively used in the public campaign and ask why he did not receive the post. "What happened to Vlado Nikolov?" and "they used him" are among the most frequent comments in this regard.
At the same time, quite a few users call for tolerance and time. According to them, every new minister should be given a chance to demonstrate their work before being evaluated. "Give him at least 100 days," "let him work," and "first read who the person is" are some of the defensive stances.
Thus, even before his potential assumption of office, Encho Keryazov found himself at the center of a sharp public debate – between recognition for his personal achievements, doubts about the political nomination, and the expectation for sports to receive real solutions, not just another spectacle.
Tomorrow, Parliament is expected to vote on the new government, after which it will take an oath and assume power from the caretaker cabinet.
