Kuzbass Kemerovo of Asparuh Asparuhov lost its home game to Plamen Konstantinov's Lokomotiv with a score of 1:3 (25:22, 11:25, 22:25, 21:25) in a match from the 13th round of the Russian men's volleyball championship. Asparuhov did not play as he is still recovering from surgery. He watched another match, but this time in Bulgaria - Levski:Lüneburg from the group stage of the Champions League.

Sidenko (19) was the top scorer for the hosts, followed by Markin (11) and Suprunov (6). For the winners, the Cuban with a Brazilian passport Leal was the most effective (17), Lyzik contributed 15, and Kurkaev 11 points.

With this victory, Loko climbed to second position in the provisional standings, immediately after leader Zenit.
