The newly formed FIVB Administrative Board approved the compositions of all commissions and councils for the 2024-2028 Olympic cycle during its first meeting after the 39th FIVB World Congress. Additionally, the FIVB Administrative Board approved several changes to the commissions and councils. Among them is the creation of new bodies to meet the evolving needs of the World Volleyball Movement, including: • Technology and Game Innovation Commission • Heritage and Traditions Commission • Volleyball Leagues and Clubs Council.
Changes have also been made to the names of some commissions to better reflect their roles and objectives. These include:
• The Technical and Coaching Commission is now the Coaching Commission • The Marketing and Communication Commission is now the Communication Commission • The Snow Volleyball Commission is now the Mass Participation and Snow Volleyball Commission. These changes underscore FIVB's commitment to innovation and strengthening the development of the World Volleyball Movement at all levels. As expected, Brazil has the most representatives - 16, while Russia has 4 commission members, with the most famous figure being Maxim Mikhailov (Heritage and Traditions). The infamously known Dutchman Frans Loderus has again found a place in the refereeing commission. Bulgaria is represented by Lyubomir Ganev and Radostin Stoychev.
