Antonina Zetova will lead the women's national team for the next 2+2 years. This became clear after the vote of the BFV Board of Directors, which was attended by 12 members of the old administration, which is still legitimate. 11 of them supported Zetova's candidacy.

The vote, asvolleyweek.bgalready informed, was held secretly. It is likely that the fact that Zetova included Elitsa Vasileva, Hristina Vuchkova-Paiaka, Nasya Dimitrova, Gergana Kyoseva, and Mira Todorova in her list of called-up players weighed heavily, while Ivan Petkov would have relied on 18 girls who were or are now playing in Maritsa. Again, as last time, David Davidov was not present at the meeting. In addition to him, the presidents of DEYA and Neftochimic, as well as those of Cherno More and Hebar, were absent.
At the meeting, the coaches for the national teams for women under 21 and under 19 were also appointed. Former women's national coach Dragan Nesic takes over the team previously led by Borislav Krachanov, and Atanas Petrov will be appointed as the coach of the European champions U18.

Zetova's contract, who this year won a European title with the women's U18 team, will be for 2+2 years. If the goals set for the next two seasons in the Volleyball Nations League, the 2025 World Championship, and the 2026 European Championship are met, her contract will be automatically extended, Lyubomir Ganev clarified after the meeting.
