Lokomotiv Avia's team achieved its fourth success since the start of the new season in the Bulgarian men's volleyball championship. The proteges of head coach Nayden Naydenov prevailed with a 3:1 (25:18, 25:19, 20:25, 25:15) game score over Hebar (Pazardzhik) as hosts in the last match of the sixth round of the championship.
Thus, the "black and whites" now have 13 points in their asset and climbed to fourth position in the standings, while the team from Pazardzhik still has no win in the campaign and remains at the bottom of the ranking with no points.
The match in the sports hall of Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski" started evenly and both teams went point for point until 13:13. However, a 6:1 run for Lokomotiv Avia in the next seven rallies allowed the hosts to pull ahead 19:14, which proved decisive for the outcome of the set - 25:18 in favor of the Plovdiv team.
The second set developed in a similar way. After the middle of the set, Nayden Naydenov's volleyball players gradually began to build a lead and imposed their will to take the set 25:19.
In the third set, the guests from Pazardzhik significantly increased their attacking efficiency, which helped them open up a lead early on, reaching 6 points at 11:5. The score became 16:9 and Hebar maintained their lead until the end, reducing their deficit with a 25:20 win.
In the fourth set, however, the guests could not resist and Lokomotiv Avia won decisively with 25:15 to celebrate the success.
The most effective player for the winners was Julien Georgiev with 23 points. For Hebar, Uriel Batista scored 21.
The MVP was Loko's setter Dmytro Dolgopolov.
After the last match of the 6th round of efbet Super Volley 2024/25, Levski Sofia's team continues to lead without losing a single set.
