American setter Micah Christenson, bronze medalist from the Olympic Games in Paris 2024 (and Rio 2016), became the subject of transfer speculation for next season during the Champions League match between Monza and Olympiacos on Sky Sport Arena. Christenson left Modena at the end of the 2021 season (to make room for the return of Brazilian Bruno) and moved to Russian club Zenit Kazan.

According to the commentary duo Locatelli-Zorzi, the American setter could return to Italy next season (2025/26), joining the Rana Verona team.
