Levski Sofia's opponent in the 1/8 finals of the Challenge Cup, Roma Volley, received a penalty in Italy. The club has to pay a fine of 250 euros for the offensive and demonstrative protest behavior of its fans towards the first referee during a women's Serie A1 match. The disciplinary committee decided to replay the women's Serie A2 match - Volley Hermaea Olbia against Trasporti Bressan Offanengo, interrupted due to the inability of the match to continue, due to heavy rainfall which made the court dangerous. The match will be replayed on a date to be determined, with the home team obligated to cover the travel expenses for Volley Offanengo's stay and travel, as well as to pay the equivalent of two match fees before the replay. In men's volleyball, the most memorable penalty is that of Valsir Group Modena's manager, the legend Andrea Sartoretti, who received an official warning for repeated protest behavior against referee decisions.
Otherwise, penalties were also imposed for:
- allowing the presence of an official not listed in the protocol at the secretary's table;
- improper positioning and unstable placement of the protective fences enclosing the free zone of the court;
- demonstrative and angry protest behavior towards the first referee resulted in a penalty for the manager of Conad Reggio Emilia;
- absence of the second coach on the bench.
