Levski Sofia meets Roma Volley in the eighth-finals of the Challenge Cup tournament

Levski Sofia advanced to the Round of 16 in the Women's Challenge Cup volleyball tournament. In the return leg, "the Blues" easily won 3:0 (25:21, 25:21, 25:16) at home against Apollo 8. The team, led by coach Radoslav Arsov, had narrowly won the first match 3:2 (25:17, 22:25, 25:22, 20:25, 15:12).

In the first set, Levski led 8:5 and 17:12, taking the lead with a 25:21 score. In the second set, the Dutch team managed to take an 8:5 lead, but Levski Sofia made a comeback to 17:16, which proved to be the decisive moment for the final success in the match.

In the third set, Levski Sofia completely controlled the events on the court and won decisively with 25:16, with the match lasting almost an hour.

Mikaela Stoyanova was the top scorer for our team with 27 points, followed by Daria Ivanova with 12 and Guadalupe Ramella with 10.

In the Round of 16 of the tournament, "the Blues" will face Roma Volley in the next round, with the match dates to be determined at a later stage. The Italian team eliminated Rapid București with two 3:0 victories. The first match between Levski and Roma Volley will be in 2 weeks in Sofia. The return leg will be a week later in the capital of Italy.
