The President of the German Volleyball Federation, Markus Dieckmann, was unanimously re-elected for the next Olympic cycle.
"Thank you for your trust for another four years together," said Markus Dieckmann, who was first elected President of the DVV at the same location in August 2023. The 48-year-old official reviewed the eventful 14 months, highlighting not only sporting successes but also positive progress. According to the 2024 DOSB survey, the DVV registered 26,228 new members (+6.4%), bringing the total number of registered members in German volleyball to 436,348. Dieckmann also issued a plea: "We must think positively and look forward, accept losses as experience, and problems as challenges."
The other elections for the new leadership during the assembly in Bremen also passed unanimously: Julius Brink, Matthias Hach, and Katharina Dürrlamm were re-elected as Vice-Presidents. Maren Fromm (athlete spokesperson), Janine Staneley (DVJ representative), and Daniel Sattler (VBL representative) also received a positive vote from all members. New to the DVV board is Britta Müller as Vice-President, who takes on the vacant position of spokesperson for regional federations as chair of the Brandenburg Volleyball Federation.
