The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) announced that Turkey will host the CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship in 2026. Turkey will co-host the championship along with Azerbaijan, Czechia, and Sweden. The Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team will participate in this major event as the reigning European champions. The round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, third-place match, and final of the CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship 2026 will also be played in Turkey.
The President of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, Mehmet Akif Ustundag, stated regarding the hosting: "After the unforgettable event in 2019, we are thrilled to be at the heart of European volleyball as hosts once again. We are participating in the tournament as the reigning European champions and hope to repeat our success on home soil with the passionate support of our fans."

The captain of the Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team, Eda Erdem Dündar, shared: "As the reigning European champions, we are hosting the European Championship again. This competition will take place in our beautiful country in 2026. We can't wait to share our passion for volleyball with the whole country in our own home."
Turkey has also hosted the Women's European Volleyball Championship in 1967, 2003, and 2019.

The remaining participants in the CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship 2026 will be determined after the European Championship qualifiers, which will take place in 2025.
