Levski Sofia's women's volleyball team dramatically won 3:2 sets away against Dutch Apollo 8 in the first 1/16-final match of the third strongest European tournament, the "Challenge Cup".
The "Blues" won the first set 25:17, but the hosts equalized after 25:22. Levski took the lead again after a strong third set, which they won 25:22, but Apollo sent the match to a tie-break after 25:20.
Levski's volleyball players showed character in the decisive fifth set and closed out the match after 15:12.
Mikaela Stoyanova was in her element. The 19-year-old opposite hitter finished with 26 points (1 ace, 2 blocks).

Middle blockers Tsvetomira Mitkova and Ivanina Milinova also performed very strongly, scoring 13 and 12 points. What was impressive was that both made 7 successful blocks each.

In total, through this element, our ladies earned a total of 22 points, almost an entire set.
Outside hitter Daria Ivanov (11 points) and setter Silvia Kukharska finished with 3 blocks each.
The return match is on November 13 at 7 PM in "Levski Sofia" hall in the capital, and with another success, the "Blues" will advance to the round of 16.
