The women's team of Afyon Belediye Yüntaş, which won the First League title and secured promotion to the Sultanlar League, continues its selection process for its debut in the elite division. Bulgarian outside hitter Aleksandra Milanova will be part of the team's squad for the new season in Turkey's strongest championship, according to media reports from our southern neighbor.

The 24-year-old volleyball player already has experience in the country, having worn the Nilüfer jersey during the 2022/23 season. In recent years, she has played for PAOK (Greece), Újpest (Hungary), and Corona Brașov (Romania), from where she returns to Turkey to take a step towards the Sultanlar League with newcomer Afyon.

Milanova is also included in the extended squad of the Bulgarian national team for the Nations League, led by coach Marcello Abbondanza, which further emphasizes her upward trend in development. In her club career, Milanova has won five titles and four Bulgarian Cups with Maritsa (Plovdiv). With the Bulgarian national team, she has trophies from the Challenger Cup and the Golden European League.
With the expected transfer of Iva Dudova from Maritsa to Eczacıbaşı Dynavit (Istanbul), this marks the second Bulgarian national team player who will gain experience in one of the strongest club championships in Europe.
