Sami Valchinov with first words after transfer to Italian A2 Series: Macerata is the ideal place for high goals

Bulgarian volleyball player Samuil Valchinov, who is currently with the national team in Ljubljana for the Nations League tournament, gave his first interview for his new club. The news of the transfer was first announced by volleyweek. The young Plovdiv native - a product of "Victoria Volley" - explained how he chose Macerata's offer on the team's official website.pallavolomacerata.it.
The new attacker for the "red and whites" arrives from his home country, Bulgaria, where he has built a good career so far with the elite teams of Levski Sofia and Dea Volley, and last season he was also a key part of SKV Montana. "I chose Macerata because it represents everything I need: the perfect environment for longer-term growth, effective organization, and the presence of ambition for high goals," these are Samuil Valchinov's first words upon choosing to come to Italy.

"When I was little, I always followed the Italian volleyball championship, so I know well the great tradition of the name Macerata in this sport. Then I heard everyone speak well of the Marche region and the city itself, I can't wait to arrive in Macerata."

What do you expect from this first season in Italy?

"I want to perform at a good level in the 'red and white' jersey and lead Macerata as high as possible in the standings."
The club's General Director - Italo Vullo, also did not spare his superlatives for the Bulgarian international:
"It doesn't surprise me at all that he is part of the Bulgarian national team; on the contrary, in my opinion, he is the best receiver in the Bulgarian selection." The Italian executive also shared that:
"Samuil is a complete player, very good in all back row areas, but he also possesses an excellent arsenal in attack, he has quality technique. He is a volleyball player with confidence and security in his game, and he will have high added value for Macerata."

We sincerely wish Sami Valchinov success in his new Italian challenge!
