Andrey Zhekov will not apply for national coach, it became clear today during a conversation with the former setter of our men's national team. "Yes, such an intention was discussed, but it remained on the agenda for only a few hours!" Zhekov clarified. According to him, the desire not to enter into a conflict of interest weighed heavily on his refusal, both because of Zhekov-junior and because of his favorite club "Levski". "I will concentrate on training with the youth of Levski Sofia," Zhekov concluded. He categorically denied that he was influenced in making the decision to withdraw.
As it already became clear, the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation announced a procedure for appointing coaches for four national teams: women under 19 (born after January 1, 2007 and younger), women under 21 (born after January 1, 2005 and younger), men under 19 (born after January 1, 2007 and younger), as well as men under 21 (born after January 1, 2005 and younger). The deadline for submitting documents expires tomorrow.
