Modena defeated Radostin Stoychev and Verona 3-2, ending their four-game winning streak.

Noumory Keita received the Credem Banca MVP award before the match against Modena

Rana Verona, led by Radostin Stoychev, lost at home to Valsa Group Modena 2-3 (25-22, 18-25, 25-18, 21-25, 12-15) in a match from the 6th round of the first phase - Regular Season SuperLiga Credem Banca. This is the yellow-and-blues' second consecutive victory after their win against Monza. Rana Verona's winning streak was broken (4 consecutive wins before today's match).
Immediately before the start of the match, Noumory Keita received the Credem Banca MVP award for October. The award is given to the Rana Verona attacker as he has won the MVP title four times in matches last month and is the current top scorer in the regular season with 108 points before this round.

The guests started the match well, and the end of the set was extremely tense, with the hosts turning the score around thanks to the ever-present Keita, after which Spirito sealed the first set with an ace.
Giuliani's team's reaction was immediate upon returning to the court: Buchegger was precise at the net and capitalized on De Cecco's passes. Modena pulled away and equalized the score.
The balance at the beginning of the third set was broken by Verona's effective block and their ability to pull away at the decisive moment, with Mozic spiking the ball that ended the set.
A significant period of balance was also observed in the next set, where the teams made a series of exchanges in the score. In the end, Anzani and his teammates found the decisive break that led the match to a tie-break.
In the fifth set, Modena took the lead, Verona equalized during the change of courts in a hall that resembled a boiling cauldron.

Rinaldi served an ace, giving the visitors confidence and ending the match.
A crucial factor in the Emilia team's victory was the Rinaldi-Buchegger tandem, although their inconsistency caused additional headaches for De Cecco. Verona, on the other hand, played without grit, a bit chaotically, and overly dependent on Keita. Mojic's still suboptimal condition forced them into predictable play, although Spirito in the fourth set also relied heavily on Cortesia, who was undoubtedly one of the best on the court tonight.
The MVP of the match was Paul Buchegger, who scored 18 points, 3 of which were from serves. The top scorer, however, was once again Keita, who for the umpteenth time exceeded the 30-point mark with 60% attack efficiency. Both teams will return to the court next Sunday, November 10th, with Valsa Group Modena hosting Cisterna Volley, while Rana Verona will visit Itas Trentino.

Radostin Stoychev (Rana Verona): "The match was contested from the very beginning; the numbers are practically identical in attack, blocking, and other situations. The three aces in the corner of position one were decisive in the fifth set, because even in the tie-break, we played well. What we lacked was the moment, but these are game situations that sometimes reward you and other times punish you. Now we immediately turn the page and get back to work with an eye on the next match."

Jacopo Massari (Valsa Group Modena) (former Hebar Pazardzhik player, editor's note): "We played a great match against a strong team, we continue to work hard, as we have always done so far."
