Kristina Guncheva champion of Romania! Voluntari triumphed after a comeback against Alba Blaj

Kristina Guncheva and her Voluntari celebrated the title in the women's Division A1 of Romania. The team, led by Italian specialist Giovanni Caprara, won the final series against Alba Blaj, triumphing 3:1 (19:25, 25:22, 25:17, 25:23) in the decisive fourth match.

Voluntari started hesitantly and lost the first set, but then took control of the match. The team stabilized its reception and blocking, and showed greater attacking effectiveness to completely turn the tide.
The standout player in the decisive match was Nicole van de Vosse with 22 points, supported by Nikola Radosova with 18 and Sabrina Starcks with 11, forming the core of Voluntari's attacking power.
For Alba Blaj, led by Marco Chiodini, the top scorer was Ana Escamilla with 14 points, but the team failed to maintain its level after winning the first set. Kristina Guncheva did not participate in the final match, but she played her part in the team's balance and game organization during key moments of the series.
Thus, Voluntari secured its second trophy of the season after the Supercup and solidified its upward trajectory in Romanian volleyball, winning a second championship title within two years.
The final series was a logical culmination of a long rivalry between the two teams, who met a total of 11 times during the season — further proof of the parity and high level in the Romanian championship.
Last year, another former Bulgarian international for Voluntari - Mira Todorova - played in the final but failed to win the title.
