Bulgaria versus Argentina – a series of friendly matches for men and women before the start of the Nations League

The Bulgarian national volleyball teams – men and women – will hold a series of important matches against Argentina on the eve of the Volleyball Nations League (VNL), with the matches being part of the key preparation for the first week of the tournament in Brazil.

🏐 Men: friendly match and direct clash in VNL

The Bulgarian men's national team will first meet Argentina in a friendly match on June 6 in Rosario ("Newell's Old Boys") at 9:00 PM local time.
Afterwards, the two teams will face each other in an official match of the Nations League. The match is on June 13 in Brazil, starting at 9:30 PM Bulgarian time (3:30 PM local) and is Bulgaria's third match in the program for the first week.

The clash carries particular weight, as it pits two teams from the top 10 of the world rankings – Argentina is 8th, and Bulgaria 9th.

🏐 Women: friendly matches with Argentina and start against Italy in VNL

The Bulgarian women's national team will also test their strength against Argentina in two friendly matches, which are part of the preparation for the first week of VNL in Brazil.

The matches are scheduled for:

Just days later, the Bulgarian team will begin its participation in the tournament. The first match is against Italy:

The friendly matches against Argentina will be the final test before the start, providing an opportunity to refine the squad and game connections against an opponent with a different style.

📊 General context

The series of matches against Argentina puts the Bulgarian national teams in an intense rhythm even before the start of the official VNL matches. For the men, this also includes a direct clash in the tournament, while for the women, the friendly matches are the final stage of preparation before starting against one of the favorites – Italy.
