The head coach of the Chelyabinsk club Dinamo-Metar, Aleksey Deshin, received a one-match disqualification from the All-Russian Volleyball Federation "for aggressive behavior" during the home match of the Russian championship against Lokomotiv Kaliningrad.
In addition, he and the club were fined a total of 50 (25+25) thousand rubles.
In the fifth set of the match against Lokomotiv (2:3), Deshin first received a yellow card and was then sent off after spilling water on the opponent's court. Deshin was enraged by the visiting Turkish opposite Ebrar Karakurt, who at the beginning of the tie-break celebrated her points too emotionally without turning her back to her opponents. For this, she received a yellow card from the first referee Alexander Guriev. However, Karakurt continued to show excessive emotions even after the warning.
Deshin expressed dissatisfaction on this matter to the second referee of the match, Alexander Alexandrov, but no new sanctions were imposed on Karakurt. Affected by this refusal, Deshin poured almost an entire bottle of water into zone two, where the Turkish team was supposed to attack. For this action, the coach was removed, and his team lost the fifth set with a score of 11:15.

"Of course, I take responsibility, I couldn't restrain myself. There was a moment of provocation, I apologize to the fans and the team!" - Deshin said after the match.
Karakurt dedicated several social media posts to this episode.
"The opposing coach got angry because of the rallies I won and poured water where I was. ha ha ha Calm down, coach. It's just a game and the best team wins. There's no need to do anything that could endanger an opposing athlete. As a result, he received a yellow and red card and was removed from the court. He left his team alone and we won the match. No need to show disrespect... Don't enter a battle you can't win. Good night!" wrote the Turkish national team star.
Deshin will miss his team's next match in the Russian championship against Proton, which will take place on November 2.
Dinamo-Metar is in 7th place in the standings (4 wins – 3 losses), Lokomotiv is in 2nd place (7-0).
