In an emotional interview after the match against Cisterna, volleyball player Alex Nikolov shared his impressions of the team's important victory.
Interviewer: "A very important victory, even more important is your entry into the game and most of all, that you remained on the court."
Alex Nikolov: "First, thank you very much. Yes, a good team victory and obviously, I can't hide that I'm really happy. After six or seven months off the court, it's really great to play in front of this audience and I'm very grateful for the opportunity given to me."
Interviewer:"You had to give an answer, you did, but you also sent a signal to Perugia. Will you be there too, will Alex Nikolov be ready for the battle?"
Alex Nikolov: "I will certainly be ready. We are going there and we will try to win. Whether with three or two points, we don't care - we are going there for a win."
Interviewer:"What changed during these days of training? Because you had a completely different approach, your individuality returned. What happened this week?"
Alex Nikolov: "We were a little disappointed with the loss in Verona and we wanted to show that this is not the level we want to demonstrate on the court. Today we came out with a lot more determination, which was obvious, and the result shows it."
This conversation clearly shows the team's confidence and Alex Nikolov's personal determination to contribute to the team's future successes, concludes the interviewer.
Alex Nikolov: "I'm ready for battle. We're going for a win in Perugia!"
