Julio Velasco confirmed his intention to continue as head coach of the Italian women's national volleyball team until the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. Speaking at the "Premio Mecenate dello Sport" event, Velasco emphasized the importance of moving forward after the gold won in Paris. Both Velasco and the president of the Italian Volleyball Federation, Giuseppe Manfredi, expressed confidence in reaching an agreement to extend his term. CONI President Giovanni Malagò also expressed his support for the continuation of the cooperation between Velasco and Manfredi until 2028.
