The Bulgarian men's national team departs on Sunday for Ljubljana (Slovenia), where it will participate in the third and final week of theVolleyball Nations League(VNL). In it, the "tricolors" will face the teams of Turkey (June 18), Italy (June 20), Cuba (June 21), and Argentina (June 22) consecutively.
Head coach Gianlorenzo Blengini made fourchanges to the squadin comparison to the tournament in Fukuoka, Japan. The Italian coach will rely on 14 players, including two absolute debutants. These are opposite Hitter Venislav Antov and outside hitter Denislav Bardarov. With the inclusion of 20-year-old Antov, the Bulgarian team will be able to rely on three volleyball players in theopposite hitter positionin the third week, with the other two Blengini has used so far being Dimitar Dimitrov and Denis Karyagin. There is also a change in the libero position. Damyan Kolev, who was the second choice in the first two weeks of the tournament, is replaced by Simeon Dobrev.
