National team player Asparuh Asparuhov underwent ankle surgery, as announced by the athlete on social media.
"Hello everyone!
First, I want to express my HUGE thanks to Dr. Afanasiev, Dr. Andreev and the team of specialists, Dr. Zaitsev, and my club@kuzbassvolleyfor taking full care of me during this difficult time for any athlete!
Due to some complications after my ankle sprain from last season, I had to have surgery to heal it and move forward. Now it's time to continue the recovery process and give my all to be back on the court at a top level! I am grateful to my family for always being by my side and @lzsportpro for keeping my head up!"
I hope to be back in the game in about 2-3 months, Asparuhov toldvolleyweek.bg.
Asparuh Asparuhov underwent ankle surgery, will be out for up to 3 months
