Paola Egonu, the opposite hitter for Numia Vero Volley Milano, was discharged after endoscopic nose surgery last week. The procedure, performed by Professor Lorenzo Pignataro and his team, was successful. Egonu missed the Super Cup at the end of September due to severe sinusitis. Now, the Olympic champion will continue her recovery, with Milano hoping it will conclude within a month and Egonu will be available for the matches against Conegliano in the championship on November 22nd and against Vakifbank in the Champions League on November 28th in Istanbul.
Without Egonu, Numia Vero Volley Milano defeated Roma 3-0 at home on Saturday. Radi Marinova came in briefly and scored 1 point. Milano is in fourth place in the provisional standings.
