Maritsa (Plovdiv) learned their last opponent in the Champions League groups this season. It will be Croatian Mladost (Zagreb), which eliminated Bosnian Gacko RD Swisslion (Gacko) in the qualifiers.

The Croatians won 3:1 (25:20, 22:25, 25:20, 25:17) at home against the Bosnian team, and after a 3:1 victory for Mladost in the first match, the team secured a place in the Champions League groups.

In Group A, in addition to Maritsa and Mladost, there are also the current Champions League holder - Italian grand Antonio Carraro Imoco (Conegliano) and Polish Developres (Rzeszów).

Maritsa faced Mladost in a friendly tournament in Serbia three weeks ago, and then the Bulgarian champion won 3:1 and clinched the Iva Vujosevic Memorial.

Maritsa will visit Mladost between November 26-28 in Croatia, and the exact time and date will be announced later. The second match between the two teams will be on January 22, 2025, in Plovdiv.
