Montana repeated its success from last year and once again won the traditional "Boris Gyuderov" Cup tournament in Pernik.

In the match for the trophy, Dani Peev's boys decisively defeated CSKA with 3:0 (25:23, 25:21, 25:17). Nikolay Penchev did not participate in this match, as he is awaiting developments regarding his new team. Only the first game had intrigue, after which Montana took control of things, decisively finishing the third set, and with it the match.
Vasilij Molotkov was the top scorer for the winners with 19 points, followed by Pavel Dushkov with 10 and middle blocker Nikolay Kolev with 9. Montana's new setter, Hiroki Ito, had a good match. The Japanese player scored 3 points (including 1 ace and 1 from attack).

The same Japanese player was named the most valuable player for Montana.

For CSKA, Strahinja Brzakovic was again the top scorer with 9 points. In the third set, Vladimir Stankov replaced Lyubomir Agontsev. "The Reds" showed weaker reception (56% against 63% for Montana) and attack (42% against 64% for Montana). The match was observed by two members of the BVF Management Board - Borislav Kyosev and Nikolay Ivanov (the new volleyball leaders are still awaiting a court decision to be officially registered, editor's note).
