Neftochimik's opposite hitter Pavel Moroz is leaving the team, volleyweek.bg has learned. Moroz was brought to the team in May this year. The 37-year-old opposite hitter became runner-up with Lokomotiv Novosibirsk at the Club World Championship in 2013. Moroz is also a Russian vice-champion with the same team from 2014. With the Russian national team, the 205-centimeter tall volleyball player won the strong Hubert Wagner tournament in Poland in 2014. At the end of 2022, Pavel Moroz's name became known for a 15-month disqualification for violating anti-doping rules, the International Volleyball Federation announced at the time.
In place of the Russian opposite hitter, Neftochimik expects a player from Poland. According to a statement by club president Ognyan Tomov to "Tema Sport", this is Rafał Faryna from Trefl (Gdańsk). The greatest success of the 30-year-old, 200-centimeter tall opposite hitter, is the title in the second division of Poland in 2013.
