The head of volleyball club "Lokomotiv" Novosibirsk, where Plamen Konstantinov is the head coach, is taking over the Russian rhythmic gymnastics. The shocking development occurred after the current president of the federation, Irina Viner, will no longer be responsible for this sport.
This became clear after a new federation was established in the country a few days ago, under which rhythmic and artistic gymnastics, sports acrobatics, sports aerobics, and trampolining fall.
It will be headed by the former Minister of Transport and current General Director of "Russian Railways" since 2015, Oleg Belozyorov.

Irina Alexandrovna Viner-Usmanova has been at the helm of rhythmic gymnastics in Russia since 2008. Under her leadership, Russia won 3 individual Olympic titles and 3 in the group exercises.
