Radoslav Arsov, who has been the coach of the women's volleyball team Levski since the summer, promised that his team will do what is necessary to break Maritsa's hegemony in the championship.
"To break the hegemony, we need hard work and patience. We had quite strong and useful control matches - in Italy, against Dinamo Bucharest. I think we are finding the right path, we are starting to adjust. After the New Year, the team's goals can be set," Arsov told the media. The coach expressed satisfaction that he can express himself in his native language, after having worked consistently in France and Russia in recent years.
"Coming to Levski, I had expectations of finding an excellent structure, of having a working environment with perfect young girls, which happened. We work a lot and sooner or later things will fall into place. We are a young team and as such, we have inexperience and haste. We are learning about routine, discipline, perceptions, way of training, way of thinking. The players are extremely young and let's not overload them with huge expectations. I will try to protect them from that," the specialist added.
"Let's give credit where credit is due to everyone. The women's championship will now consist of 10 teams. Surely, at first, the level will be far from expected, but this is a step in the right direction. CSKA is an eternal rival, but for me, it's just like any other match. We've already played one match against them and fortunately, we won, which gave the girls additional confidence," Arsov believes.
"Everything depends on how work is done from the bottom up. We are in constant contact with the coaches of the youth teams, discussing the system. The global picture of volleyball is important. Building players is always more important than results," Radoslav Arsov concluded.

"The level now is even higher than in last season's finals. We trained twice as hard, we expect to be twice as good. We played many control matches, some we won, others we lost, but all sets were very competitive," said national player Mikaela Stoyanova.

"The coach has a lot of experience from France, Russia. He introduced many professional elements into the work. We have different self-confidence. We start with Maritsa and I hope we will be evenly matched," Daria Ivanova wished.
