The management of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation discussed future cooperation with Ruse Municipality

The Mayor of Ruse Municipality, Pencho Milkov, and his team welcomed today representatives of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation to a working meeting. The President of the BFV, Lyubomir Ganev, and David Davidov, Chairman of the Youth and Junior Volleyball Commission (KYUDV), participated in it. The two discussed important topics for the development and popularization of the beloved sport in the city.

The discussion covered both the possibility of future cooperation between the BFV and Ruse Municipality, as well as the holding of events from the federation's calendar over the next two years. Among the topics highlighted was the interaction between the municipality and the volleyball clubs in the city.

"Ruse has always been a very volleyball-oriented city. My journey in this sport also started here," recalled Ganev, who is a native of the Danube-side town. "In recent years, the city has also shown itself on the international stage as an excellent host, hosting the Men's World Championship in 2018 and the Women's Volleyball Nations League in 2019. It has the conditions, it has the people who love the sport, it also has the talents – we must ensure that volleyball can develop in this territory and ignite more people, as it has been over the years. We count on Ruse Municipality as a partner."

"Over the years, the city of Ruse has proven to be an extremely hospitable host, and the local audience has always provided great support for our national teams. In this sense, we will seek opportunities for closer cooperation and organizing volleyball events in the city," said David Davidov, Chairman of the KYUDV.
