Levski's men's team strengthened its squad for the new season and participation in the Champions League group stage with Cuban middle blocker Livan Osoria, the team's website announced. The experienced volleyball player, who has played for his home country's national team, was brought in following the departure of Brazilian Maicon Moreira, who will likely play in the Greek league. 30-year-old Osoria played for Czech club AERO 'Odolena Voda' last season. After starting in the Cuban league, he also played in Argentina and France. In the 2019/2020 season with 'Club Ciudad', the middle blocker was named best attacker in the Argentine league. Osoria was twice in the ideal team of the Pan American Games (2015, 2019) as best middle blocker. With the Cuban team, he has faced the Bulgarian national team.
