Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie won their first Polish SuperCup with a tie-break over Jastrzębski Węgiel

In an electrifying match at the Spodek Arena in Katowice, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie triumphed over Jastrzębski Węgiel with a 3-2 victory (25-21, 21-25, 21-25, 25-19, 23-21) to secure the AL-KO Polish Super Cup 2024. The encounter culminated in a tie-break ending 23-21 in favor of Warta Zawiercie.

Battling for the first trophy of the new volleyball season, the Polish Cup holders overcame the champions in a match that kept fans on the edge of their emotions. The "Jurassic Knights," as Warta Zawiercie is affectionately known, lifted the Super Cup for the first time in the club's history.

The top scorer for Jastrzębski Węgiel was Tomasz Fornal (20 points), followed by Łukasz Kaczmarek (12) and Luciano Vicentin (12). For the winners, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Karol Butryn scored 21 points and American national Aaron Russell scored 19. Russell also claimed the MVP award for the final.

Last season, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie won the Polish Cup, defeating Jastrzębski Węgiel 3-1 in the final. However, Jastrzębski Węgiel went on to win the championship title, beating the Jurassic Knights 2–1 in games (3-0, 1-3, 3-1), earning their fourth championship title.
