After information about the possible return of Ivan Petkov as coach of the women's national team appeared in the public space, volleyweek.bgcontacted the current head coach of the women'sVolero Le Canne.
- Mr. Petkov, there have been claims in the media that you will be among the candidates for a new coach of the women's national team after Lorenzo Micelli's contract expires. What information can you provide regarding this claim?
- Look, things are not straightforward. The truth is that Bulgaria is not indifferent to me, but there is a long way to go before I can claim anything with certainty. First, I will wait for the Reporting and Election Assembly of the federation to be held at the end of this week. Everything that happened before that is unofficial and informal, including the phone call with President Lyubomir Ganev about ten days ago. Second, and perhaps most importantly - I have yet to have a conversation with the management of my French club! Only then can I undertake something, if I undertake anything.
- So, are we to understand that nothing is agreed if everything is not agreed?!
- In short, yes!
