Perugia and Trento will compete for the Italian Super Cup

Champions Perugia and European Club Champions Trento will compete for the Italian Super Cup in Florence.
In the first semifinal, Perugia defeated Piacenza 3-1 (25-22, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21), with the most effective players for the champions being Ben Tara 15, new signing Ishikawa 12, who came off the bench, and Kamil Semeniuk 10. Due to Semeniuk, Poland's national coach Nikola Grbic was also in the hall.

For Piacenza, whose director is Hristo Zlatanov, the top scorers were Stephen Maar 18, Yuri Romano 12, and Uros Kovacevic 10. New middle blocker Galassi finished with 6 points and young Bovolenta with 3.

Angelo Lorenzetti's boys played without Argentine international Sebastian Sole, who underwent elbow surgery.

Opposite Gaby Fernandez added 11 for the victory.
For Monza, the most effective player was Finn Luka Marttila with 15 points, followed by Canadian international Arthur Szwarc 14.

Osmany Juantorena, who is not yet fully recovered, was listed in the squad as a libero. New signing Zaytsev was not among his teammates, as he will only appear in the squad after the third round of the championship. Middle blockers Leandro Mosca and Taylor Averill were absent.
Trentino will face Perugia in the Del Monte® Supercoppa SuperLega 2024 final tomorrow at 7 PM Bulgarian time, to compete with the Umbrians for the first title of the season in an unprecedented trophy final.
