Bogdanka Luk Lublin and Alex Grozdanov defeated visiting Trefl Gdansk in a tie-break during Wilfredo Leon's debut in the Polish PlusLiga. Alex scored 11 points, troubling the opponent's reception by alternating float with powerful serves. This is Lublin's second win this season, aided by one of the best volleyball players in the world - Wilfredo Leon.

Volleyball fans from Lublin awaited his first appearance in the championship against Trefl Gdansk, as he entered at the end of the first set. The guests, who started the season with a 2-3 loss against Cuprum Stilon Gorzów, were not intimidated by either the over 4000 spectators in the Globus hall in Lublin, or by one of the best volleyball players in the world. Gdansk took the lead from the very beginning, and in the decisive actions they were better, easily winning the first set. In the next game, they were also better and were on the verge of taking a 2:0 set lead after leading 23:20 at the end. A loss of five consecutive points followed, primarily due to Mateusz Malinowski's serves and the play of Leon, who scored points in attack and block. Again, Leon proved to be the hidden ace for the hosts, who had to decide the outcome of the match with a tie-break, in which the Lublin team showed mental resilience, taking the lead at the beginning of the set. Leon started the set in the starting lineup, but Bennie Tuinstra was the most effective scorer.

With this victory, Bogdanka took second place in the temporary league standings after Projekt Warsaw.
